How long does shipping take?
Orders are typically processed within 2–5 business days.
Once shipped, delivery times vary by carrier and destination, but most domestic orders arrive within 3–7 business days.
Please note: Processing time is separate from shipping time. During holidays, sales, or special events, processing times may be longer. We are unable to expedite processing. You’ll receive a tracking number once your order ships.
Do you accept returns?
Due to the nature of our limited selection and small-batch inventory, all sales are final.
However, if you receive the wrong item, or your order arrives significantly damaged in transit, please contact us within 7 days of delivery, and we’ll make it right.
Returns are not accepted for:
- Buyer’s remorse
- Minor wear consistent with general warehouse handling and shipping
- Damage caused after delivery
Shipping Damage & Book Condition Policy
We take great care in packing every order and ship all books in excellent, carefully inspected condition.
Each item is reviewed prior to shipping and packed in good faith to arrive safely.
What We Stand Behind
- All books are sent in excellent or like-new condition, unless otherwise noted.
- Packaging is selected to protect against normal transit handling
- We do not ship books with known major defects
Minor Wear During Shipping
Despite careful packing, minor cosmetic wear may occur during transit, including:
- Light corner softening
- Minor edge wear
- Slight scuffing to covers
These are considered normal shipping-related imperfections and do not qualify as damage.
What Qualifies as Shipping Damage
We consider an item damaged in transit if it arrives with:
- Torn, detached, or severely creased covers
- Water saturation or warping
- Broken or detached bindings
- Pages that are torn, missing, or unreadable
- Crushing or structural damage caused by mishandling
Reporting Shipping Damage
If your order arrives with qualifying damage:
- Contact us within 7 days of delivery
- Include clear photos of the damage and packaging
- We will review and determine an appropriate resolution
Claims submitted outside this timeframe or without documentation may not be eligible for returns.
Do you ship internationally?
We are happy to offer international shipping to most countries!
- International shipping times and costs vary by destination
- Customers are responsible for any customs fees or import taxes
- We are not responsible for delays caused by customs processing
What if I already have a book I received in a Blind Date with a Book bundle?
That’s part of the mystery and charm of a Blind Date with a Book! Because titles are intentionally wrapped and selected as a surprise, we’re unable to offer refunds or exchanges if you receive a book you already own or have read.
However, we’re always happy to help before you order. If you’d like to avoid specific titles, authors, or genres, feel free to email us prior to purchasing and we’ll do our very best to select something new for you—while still keeping the spirit of the surprise intact.
